1.	MAINS		L – R ESS DC BUS
2.	ALTS		L – R MN DC BUS

How much fuel is in the FUEL HOPPER?

How much fuel is remaining in the HOPPER when an amber L – R FUEL LEVEL LOW message appears?

@ 650 Pounds

What is the max fuel load?

41,300 pounds, provided the max takeoff and max ramp weight is not exceeded

What is the Max fuel imbalance?

When should the Heated Fuel Return System be turned ON?

On the Before Start Check

What is the approximate fuel temperature and flow rate of the HEATED FUEL RETURN SYSTEM?

@ 3.1 Gal per minute per side at @ 50° C

What will cause the Heated Fuel Return system to come ON and shut OFF?

With the switch in AUTO whenever the Fuel Hopper temperature drops @ 0° C ON and › +10° C OFF

What will cause the Heated Fuel Return System in the AUTO position to stop other than temperature?

Anytime the FADEC detects one of the following signals:

1. Either FIRE Handle is pulled
2. Crossflow (XFLOW) Valve selected OPEN
3. FUEL CONTROL switch OFF
4. LOW FUEL PRESSURE Signal
5. LOW FUEL QUANTITY Signal
6. Signaled Impending Blockage of the LP FUEL FILTER
7. Fuel Temperature in Hopper rises above +10° C
8. Less Than 58%HP (ON Line Speed for IDG)
9. Fuel flow greater than 2500 PPH

If a MAIN BOOST PUMP should fail, will the ALT BOOST PUMP automatically come on, if selected OFF?

No, there is no auto change feature.

If you are powering the aircraft with just the HMG, which part of the fuel system will not be available and why?

The HMG will only power the L – R ESS DC BUSSES, the following switches are powered by the L – R MAIN DC BUSSES.

• L – R ALT BOOST PUMPS
• L – R FUELING SHUT OFF

What does a red L – R FUEL PRESS LOW message mean?

‹ 16 PSI fuel press on corresponding side

When do the RED and AMBER messages come on for fuel temperature?

• RED - +54° C, -374° C
• AMBER –35 to -364° C
• AMBER - Above 35,000' and less than 1,000# remaining in the hopper
